Handcrafted by the artisans of the Wayuu Tribe based in La Guajira, Colombia - these high-quality crochet bags come in different sizes, tribal patterns, and color combinations. The artisans are constantly reinventing their fashion products while bringing back ancient weaving techniques to satisfy the market. The Wayuu are the biggest artisan community in the Americas.

These bags are hand-woven in a single thread (1 thread ) process from the base of the bag to ensure very few stitch joints are there in the bag ensuring maximum strength and finish.

The 1 thread technique is far more labour intensive than the two thread technique. Each of these mochilas take approximately 3-4 weeks to weave depending upon the complexity of the design. 

Wayúu Mochilas are wearable art, not needing to be matched exactly to the colors of what you're wearing. That makes the decision to wear one that much easier, since it would go with literally everything.
